	GIANT GRANNY PLANE LANDS AT FOUNTAIN GATE!


	The “Trans Pacific Maple Syrup Bulk Carrier” better known as ‘The Granny Plane’ has landed at the NEW Fountain Gate Shopping Centre. The six metre wide granny plane weighs more than 400 kilograms. The machine is the mastermind of Adelaide artist, Peter Von Czarnecki.


	Like all the machines in the 10 Melbourne-based restaurants, The Granny Plane began with Von Czarnecki recovering items from the local salvage yard - aluminium tubing, a food processing machine and motorcycle chain sprockets. The granny sits wearing leather boots in a Victorian oak wheelchair, where she steers the plane with a steering wheel adapted from a washing machine drive pulley.


	The Pancake Parlour director, Mr Simon Meadmore said the company was very excited to have The Granny Plane restored and flying again at Fountain Gate. “We are very excited. Our new restaurant is the most attractive restaurant in 40 years,” Mr Meadmore said.
