This page is to demonstrate our dislike of chemical and antibiotic additives in food. Our policy is "never serve food in the restaurants that we wouldn't serve at home". The photographs on this page were taken at the farm that supplies our free range eggs, Alexander Cottage Produce.     Left are photos of two of the puppies that are widely used in the poultry industry for their particular kind of loyalty and protective skills with the chickens. Alexander Cottage Produce also raises what is cutely called "eggs with legs" which are baby chicks for the free range industry.   Pictured below is Clarke Laidlaw, one of our longest employed senior managers. He began with us in Adelaide in 1965. Clarke was the founder of Alexander Cottage Produce. He is pictured on the farm in Beaufort, near Ballarat, Victoria.     The success of our restaurants has a lot to do with the quality of food we serve. The chickens that lay our eggs spend their days in these pastures. This farm is a family-run business and the chickens are very well cared for.
